While the rest of the planet becomes a survivor of these alien species, Izumi is spared from the attack in some manner, as the parasite that tries to penetrate his head becomes encased in his arm and occupies its own physical place inside his body.
The same parasite tries to control Izumi many times but is unable to do so due to his inability to control the boy’s thoughts.
They quickly come to an agreement in which the parasite agrees to assist Izumi fight other parasites across the globe in exchange for the parasite’s permission to stay in his body as a host.

With this, the two form an unlikely alliance, and Izumi becomes humanity’s final hope for victory in the war against the outsiders… The storyline, created by Moare Ohta, is fantastic.
